Aurelio Sahagun Chief Executive Officer Advita Ortho

Aurelio Sahagun

Chief Executive Officer

Aurelio Sahagun was named Chief Executive Officer of Advita in November 2025, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry across all major international markets, with particular expertise in guiding innovative medical device products from development to distribution resulting in significant and consistent above-market returns.

Before joining Advita, Sahagun served as President, North America, at Straumann Group and previously held the role of President at MicroPort Orthopedics. He began his career in MedTech with Medtronic and later on Wright Medical Technology, where he progressed through a series of increasingly senior roles.

Sahagun holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid and an MBA from HEC in Paris.

Richard Friedman, M.D. FRCSC Chief Medical Officer Advita Ortho

Richard Friedman, M.D. FRCSC

Chief Medical Officer

Richard J. Friedman, M.D. FRCSC was named Chief Medical Officer at Advita in July 2025 and is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon.

Prior to joining Advita, he served as chief of shoulder and elbow surgery and professor of orthopedic surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and an adjunct professor of bioengineering at Clemson University.

Dr. Friedman received his M.D. degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and completed residencies in surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and in orthopedic surgery at the Harvard combined orthopedic residency program in Boston. He also completed a clinical fellowship in surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore as well as clinical fellowships in surgery and orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Christopher Lin

Chief Legal Officer

Christopher Lin joined Advita as Chief Legal Officer in November 2025, bringing 20+ years’ experience as a corporate attorney, M&A professional and operations executive.

Prior to joining Advita, Lin served as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at Pristine Surgical. He brings a broad range of expertise overseeing all matters related to legal, compliance, corporate governance, FDA matters, litigation, risk management, and corporate development. Lin also spent six years with Arthrex as Deputy General Counsel & Director of Corporate Development where he built and led the corporate development function, managed sales agency contracts, and advised executives on complex legal and regulatory matters.

Lin graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Artium Baccalaurei (A.B.) from Washington University in St. Louis and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from University of Michigan Law School.

Stacey Fedorka, Advita Ortho CIO Chief Information Officer

Stacey Fedorka

Chief Information Officer

Stacey Fedorka was named Chief Information Officer in January 2020. Prior to joining Advita Ortho, Fedorka held executive management positions in four global, multi-billion-dollar corporations, responsible for leading digital business transformations and technology innovations aimed at driving competitive advantage and profitable growth. Recently, she served as vice president of information technology at AFL and ERIKS in the telecom manufacturing, telecom services, industrial manufacturing and wholesale distribution industries. Within Ansaldo STS USA, Fedorka led one of the company’s three business units in addition to serving as CIO.

In recognition of her business acumen, leadership style and innovative approach in the deployment of information technology, Fedorka was named Pittsburgh “CIO of the Year” in 2017 and 2008 by the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Greater Pittsburgh CIO Council. She has served on numerous advisory boards and is a frequently requested speaker and panelist at CIO summits, events and conferences across the country.

Fedorka earned a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, she holds multiple certificates in executive leadership.

Dale Wolf, Advita Ortho COO Chief Operations Officer

Chief Operations Officer

Dale Wolf joined the company as Chief Operations Officer in January 2024. Prior to Advita Ortho, he served in a number of leadership roles with NuVasive and GE where he was responsible for supply chain and field logistics, distribution, manufacturing, quality assurance, international operations and the implementation of continuous improvement programs.

Wolf holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Adam Hayden, MS, MBA

Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Large Joints

Adam Hayden was named Chief Marketing Officer at Advita Ortho in September 2020. Prior to joining the company, Hayden held various marketing, sales management, engineering and leadership roles for more than 20 years, primarily at orthopedic companies. Recently, he served as senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at Conformis with responsibility for global sales and marketing, product management, reimbursement, market access, corporate communications and medical education. Prior to his role at Conformis, Hayden held various senior marketing positions at Smith & Nephew and DePuy Orthopedics, which is now DePuy Synthes.

Hayden received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. In addition, Hayden served as a Captain in the United States Army.

Chris Roche, Advita Ortho, Senior Vice President, Extremities

Senior Vice President, Extremities

Chris Roche was named Senior Vice President of Extremities at Advita Ortho in July 2021. He joined the company in 2003 and has designed and developed numerous medical devices since that time, including the Equinoxe® Platform Shoulder System, the fastest-growing shoulder arthroplasty system in the world since 2004.

Roche received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Mercer University, a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Florida. He has authored more than 150 manuscripts, ten book chapters and one ASTM testing standard, in addition to presenting more than 300 posters/podiums across the world. He is also listed as an inventor on more than 17 issued patent families. In 2025, Roche was elected into the prestigious American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering College of Fellows.

Laurent Angibaud, Advita Ortho, Vice President of Development, Advanced Surgical Technologies

Senior Vice President of Development, Advanced Surgical Technologies

Laurent Angibaud was named Senior Vice President of Advanced Surgical Technologies Development at Advita Ortho in January 2025. He joined the company in 2004 to design and develop numerous medical devices, including the Optetrak®, Optetrak Logic® and Truliant® total knee systems, as well as the company’s flagship technology, GPS® guided personalized surgery. He has served in various leadership roles in the Engineering and Development over the years. He has been listed as an inventors on more than 150 patent applications worldwide. Also, he has authored numerous manuscripts and regularly presents his developments at scientific conferences across the world.

Angibaud received a degree in mechanical engineering from the National School of Engineers of Tarbes (ENIT, France).

Senior Vice President, Global Sales

Matt Brzozowski was named Senior Vice President of Global Sales in August 2023. He first joined Advita Ortho in 2018 as a Regional Vice President following a successful 16 years at Zimmer Biomet working in a number of sales and product management capacities.

Brzozowski received his Bachelor of Arts in Business from DePaul University in Chicago, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Francis in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Matt Collins, Advita Ortho, Vice President, Quality Assurance

Matt Collins

Vice President, Quality Assurance

Matt Collins joined Advita Ortho in March 2024 as Vice President of Quality Assurance. Prior to joining the company, Collins spent the last 10 years as the VP of Global Quality at Integra LifeSciences and NuVasive. His expertise is in implementing robust quality systems, and resolving regulatory challenges both in the U.S. and with international governing authorities.

Collins received a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, followed by an MBA from Marquette University and MS in Data Science from Bellevue University. He also holds a doctorate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare and Leadership from California Intercontinental University.

Nicolas Hohl, Advita Ortho, Vice President, International Sales and Market Development

Nicolas Hohl

Vice President, International Sales and Market Development

Nicolas Hohl joined Advita Ortho in 2006 and currently serves as Vice President, International Sales and Market Development.

He started with the company as a knee engineering intern and quickly grew into leadership roles within the company during his tenure. He currently focuses on leading Advita’s international sales and marketing operations to drive sales while working to continually strengthen customer relationships.

Hohl is based in France and holds a Diplôme d’ingénieur in mechanical engineering with a secondary focus on audit and management.

Andy Zeltwanger, Advita Ortho, Vice President, Regulatory & Clinical Affairs

Vice President, Regulatory & Clinical Affairs

Andy Zeltwanger joined Advita Ortho as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs in July 2022.  Prior to joining the company, Zeltwanger held various regulatory, quality, manufacturing, and leadership roles in both large and small medical device companies, including Philips Healthcare, Rinovum Women’s Health, and Medrad.

Zeltwanger received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, Zeltwanger served as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve, deploying multiple times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
